People who suffer from acne can also develop whiteheads or blackheads. They mainly occur on face surface like nose, forehead, or temple. They particularly occur due to accumulation of oil, dirt, dead skin cells on outer skin surface. As a result, the hair follicles are blocked and a white protrusion called whiteheads could develop on the skin. Generally, whiteheads are a very common phenomenon seen with people having oily skin. However, whiteheads can also occur due to stress, unhealthy skin, smoking, and dirty face. They are not harmful at all and very easy to remove. In fact, they can be controlled or treated easily using some home remedies. They are not painful but their symptoms are similar to acne.

Here Are Some Home Remedies For Treating Whiteheads:

Milk

Take two spoons of diary milk with sap of lemon. Add this combination with 1 spoon of iodized salt and keep stirring this mixture continuously for 2-3 minutes. Now, you need to apply this on areas where there are whiteheads. It is better to apply this homemade solution in circular pattern and then keep for at least 10 – 15 minutes. You can then rinse and wash it out. This should be repeated for about a week or so to get the best results.

Toothpaste

The peppermint present in toothpaste is very effective in curing whiteheads. All you need to do is obtain a little toothpaste gel and apply on affected area. You will feel a very cold sensation which you need to bear for some time. Then you need to wash it off with fresh water or better if cold water is available. Repeat this until you get satisfactory results.

Honey & Egg

Honey is a natural moisturizer for skin that also helps in skin toning. Some of us might not be aware of this, but egg whites are also very good for skin. They make skin surface smooth by cleaning the pores of the skin. You can blend honey and egg whites in a cup and then add some almond oil to it (about ½ spoons). The honey must be tepid for useful results. You can also add yogurt in this mixture, one table spoon will suffice. Then you have wait for about 20 – 30 minutes before washing it off with warm water.

There is a very easy remedy for controlling whiteheads. You must wash a towel in boiling water and then squeeze every last drop of water from it. You need to then apply the warm dry cloth on skin surface for 10 – 15 minutes. You can just head back and relax while the towel is put on face. Repeat this for about 5 – 6 times, every night before going to bed.

Cleaning face with rose water is very traditional method of treating skin related problems. Rose water is very effective in removing dust from face. They are incredibly helpful in curing whiteheads. You can dip white cotton ball in rose water and then clean surfaces affected with whiteheads. But do not clean it off immediately. This process should be continued on weekly basis to get the best results.

It is commonly found in every house hold and is very effective cure. You need to prepare a mix of water and baking soda and apply it on affected areas. Once dried, and then just wash off.
