Home Remedies For Scabies

Scabies is an infectious disease that is caused by a mite scientifically known as Sarcoptes scabiei and can happen to individuals of any age group. The mite can spread by touching an infected individual. The symptoms of the infection like rashes, inflammation, intense pain or itching, and blisters can occur anywhere in the body. Although there are plenty of drugs available in the market that can cure the infection, treatment of the symptoms by using some readily available household materials can also provide noticeable benefits.

Azadirachta Indica

Azadirachta indica through its antibacterial and antifungal properties helps to cure scabies by preventing its causative agent to reproduce and also inhibiting the bacteria and fungi in the affected area of the skin that can further worsen the condition. On regular basis, azadirachta indica can be either consumed as a tonic prepared by boiling azadirachta indica leaves and/or it can be applied topically as azadirachta indica leaf paste or azadirachta indica oil, to have some visible results. Azadirachta indica can also be used as a mixture of azadirachta indica oil and turmeric powder and can be applied topically to help reduce itching and accelerate the healing process by clearing the mites from the body within days.
